You guys who’re out drinking tea, beer or wasting your money outside when you should be watching this, the theme of the debate was “Hari Ini Membentuk Kerajaan, Esok Turun Harga Minyak” or in plain English: “Form the government today, reduce the fuel prices tomorrow”.

The speakers were the steady-present de facto leader of the Pakatan Rakyat Anwar Ibrahim and representing the Federal Government under its payroll, is Datuk I don’t Care Your Stupid Title Shabbery Cheek. Honestly, I don’t know of Shabbery’s existence until these few days after all the Debate hype. And the 2 hours of getting stuck in the traffic few days ago.

Anyway, besides the speaker, the hooligan barbaric crowd were invited too. For crying out loud, this is a debate and the clock is ticking people! Don’t clap and cheer like its a bloody Dangdut party la ok? Waste Anwar’s time when he’s trying to explain things….Tiu nia seng betul la mangkok mangkok semua ni….. Oh..yes…sorry…. There were each representative off panel from each side.

The representative basically does nothing but ask questions. The one that BN picked, I hope he never volunteered cos he sucked in asking questions, is an awful speaker. For the whole 1 minute of question turned into a few minutes of insight and hatred towards Anwar. Old bugger from some public University.

OK..let me explain how well each of the speaker…spoke?

Shabbery:

1. The things that he talk or respond to, I feel is very immature. He speaks good but his idea and content of his speech is like an SPM student answering a generic karangan question.
2. How he respond/ talk to, is very media driven. Maybe its his obligation towards the Government, but what he mentioned makes me question a lot of things…and also I’m sure all the audience know he’s trying to cover up something.
3. He didn’t answer the question that Anwar’s rep asked him. Instead he only pointlessly flame Anwar’s ass by making him look bad and only manage to draw cheers from the UMNO crowd.
4. He look bad and when he talks, the side of his lips has foam collected on it. Yuck!

Anwar:

1. He’s an economist. He know his facts and he did his research on how to reduce the current oil prices.
2. He fended off stupid and pointless questions by answering what was needed to know by everyone. No beating around the bushes.
3. His comments were laced with sarcasm and I like it. The dumb Shabbery couldn’t do anything at all.
4. Anwar’s goals were clear: to bring down fuel prices at reasonable stage. He explained well that he was not being political but rather logical

Overall, I feel the Debate’s one hour time is fucking not enough. Should put it to 4 hours then everyone can have their own peace of mind regarding the fuel issue. Of course, there’s risk of other topics being brought up like corruption in the government, loopholes in the system and other shit that everybody knows. But if Pak Lah can say yes to such “open-ness” which is so hard for him to give, it’s a risk he’s gotta have the balls to bear the consequences.

Outcome? I really don’t know if there’s anything’s gonna come out of this Debate. This is just a “ruang” for Anwar to express his idea publicly after so many years. Which I feel he did a pretty good job. Shabbery’s presence and speech only confirms there’s something’s very wrong with the Feds. And Anwar didn’t have to do much to make the audience see that.

I’m not sure why UMNO still doesn’t want to change their ways. This is a chance for them to come out clean and work together with the Pakatan. They would if they really really do care about the country and the “rakyat”

Anyway anyhow, be good people.

And damn…can’t wait for tomorrow.
