Police Brutality : Bandar Mahkota Cheras residents doused and gassed
I find the news on BMC very shocking, police beating up and hurting innocent civilians. Nothing can justify beating up innocent peaceful civilians. In view of the recent events, the prospect for this country is dark. I don’t think the authority has learn any lessons from the 8 March tsunami. It doesn’t seem like they are serious and commited to any reform. All they are good at is paying lip service to reform, they are good at announcing reform only, with no real determination to see that reform is done. Nothing more than empty reform announcement.
This country is going down the drain becoming more and more like a police state and looks like democracy is dying. Looks like the only way to stop the rot is to support Pakatan Rakyat.
Don’t the goverment know how shameful their actions are on a global scale ?
Duh~ I can only say one thing…WE NEED A NEW GOVERNMENT!!

The tranquil suburb of Bandar Mahkota Cheras (BMC) descended into chaos last night when police doused some 500 residents with water cannons and fired dozens of tear gas canisters into the crowd.
During the melee, Segambut member of parliament Lim Lip Eng and BMC Open Road Committee chairperson Tan Boon Hwa were allegedly assaulted by plainclothes police officers.
The incident occurred shortly after Lim arrived at the scene at about 10pm to lend support to the residents who had gathered at the Bandar Tun Hussien Onn intersection of the Kajang-Cheras Highway.
The highway concessionaire Grand Saga Sdn Bhd was in the midst of erecting a concrete barrier – for the third time – aimed
‘I was maced, beaten’
Without the welding machines, Grand Saga workers withdrew, prompting residents to surge past riot police cordons and destroying the partly-completed barrier with their bare hands in a matter of minutes.
Suddenly some 50 riot police took up attacking positions and there was a brief stand-off with the residents with only what remains of the barrier separating the authorities and the residents.

Only way is to get Pakatan Rakyat to form the Federal Government fast. Get whoever from BN to cross over ,no point waiting for BN to perform or correct their mistakes, as this S -holes never learn anything from March 8th. The police loyalty is to the government, if Badawi tell the IGP to go and jump in the Klang river, he will happily go and jump. The police don’t have a mind of their own,they will blindly follow the rule without seeing the reason and justice behind. Sad day for Malaysia…again.

The polis are supposed to protect the Rakyats. Now we are seeing the Rakyats are being beaten, gassed, injured……by the polis…..Instead they are protecting higway pirates to ensure that they collect more toll. They are colluding with a private company to bully the Rakyat.
I really have enough.
We definitely need a new govt. to ensure that our rights are protected.

Rakyat are supposed to be the boss of the police as they pay tax .But the police are like mafia in Malaysia , not protecting the rakyat. They really bully the rakyat.
It’s time for change to Pakatan Rakyat gomen soonest.

I am proud of Mr Lim and Tan, as they are protecting BMC residents’ right against GS. In others hand, I am sad to see those rude policemen, they are supposingly to make sure the peaceful of Malaysia, but now they look likes “destroyer” to Malaysian.. Who is paying their salary? GS or Malaysian??????????

This polis are useless bums. In fact I saw them bullying chinese and indians for no reasons. I also took some pics of polis asking for bribes in massage parlours which I frequent. They just went to the SPA and ask football money from the SPA massage owner. So useless is the polis. They are good in getting bribes but ask them to just catch a killer or rapist, or just keep the neighbourhood from crimes then they are more useless then a baby sitter. I took some pics from my h/hone camera of polis accepting bribes in massage parlours in cheras and sungai long and will be posting it on the web soon. we rakyat at whole nationwide need to realise and understand what the UMNO government had done to us for 50years.. It’s enough and it is time to pay back. We can’t just write in the blogs or KL area only but spread all this to other towns and cities… We need to call for Rakyat unity day… Spread this injustice from today onwards….
